Leonberger puppies kennel club accredited breeder

Breed: Leonberger

Beautiful home reared puppies. Mum, Bella (Kjalarnes Ava), is brilliant with children and other dogs. Her puppies will be used to all sorts of home noises and lots of visitors. The Sire is Henry (Jantonely Hoorah Henry) a big, handsome, sociable dog. Both parents are fully health tested, low hip and elbow scores, LPN1 clear and eye tested clear for cataracts and glaucoma. Both have excellent temperaments. The mother, grandmother and great Ggrandmother of the puppies were all bred by us. Bitches are 1050 and dogs 1100. ABOUT US Kjalarnes is a small, established show/breeding kennel based in the heart of England just five minutes from the Birmingham NEC. We have owned Leonbergers since 1997 and are highly experienced with the breed. Dogs bred by us have been successfully shown in the UK, having several Best of Breed as well as Best Bitch and Best Puppy wins and UK Best Puppy in Breed. REARING PUPPIES We are Kennel Club Accredited breeders and members of the Leonberger Club of Great Britain. We have reared 4 generations of Leonbergers all from parents who have passed all the recommended health tests. We firmly believe in ethical breeding practices and aim for the highest standards of care and welfare for our puppies. Puppies are always reared and socialised in our home. They are fully health monitored from birth (records can be seen) and are checked by our vet prior to leaving for their new homes. We aim to produce healthy, happy puppies with good temperaments, ideal for families or for show homes if appropriate. CONTRACT OF SALE All puppies are sold with a contract of sale guaranteeing the rights of the new owner plus a commitment to the future welfare of the puppy. Puppies are additionally provided with 4 weeks free insurance. ONGOING SUPPORT We aim to provide ongoing support to new owners, whether it is to give advice over the phone or to help on site with grooming or behavioural problems. Several puppies have returned for holidays. In recent years the majority of our puppies have gone to homes already owning a dog we have bred. The future welfare of puppies bred by us is paramount when placing them in new homes. Owning a giant breed puppy requires special commitment and to this end we reserve the right not to sell a puppy to a home where we feel its welfare will be compromised. We are confident about the service we provide and the condition of our dogs and puppies. To this end we positively encourage visits from our local authority animal welfare team even though we are not licensed.
