Rufus Double Doodle (Goldendoodle x Australian Labradoodle) HEALTH TESTED

Breed: Goldendoodle

Updated: 13th Feb 2019

Rufus is our stunning Double Doodle. He is a gentle, funny boy with a wonderful temperament. He loves being with other dogs and people and is great with children of all ages. He turns heads wherever we go and we allow extra time on trips out as we know we will get stopped (for all the right reasons).

Classed as 'Red' his puppy coat has changed to a beautiful deep golden colour. This amazing soft silky fur needs to be felt be be properly appreciated. When left to grow long this wavy coat grows into golden curls.

Rufus is a Double doodle which is a cross between the Australian Labradoodle and the Goldendoodle. (Also called a Golden Labradoodle)

The Goldendoodle is a hybrid between the poodle and golden retriever. They are cheerful, trustworthy, gentle, affectionate, smart and highly trainable family companion that have a keen desire to please. They are social dogs and are at their happiest around people.

The Australian Labradoodle is a hybrid between the poodle, labrador retriever, Irish water dog, curly coated retriever, and American and English cocker spaniel. The Australian labradoodle is characterized by their gentle good humour and easy-going nature, they have a great desire to be part of the family making them very easy to train and a joy to include in your family.

Rufus stands 20 inches to his withers and weighs 18kg. His Chest is 25 inches. He is a Meduim sized Doodle.

The temperament in the dogs we breed will always be a top consideration as we only wish to produce loving, healthy, playful puppies, true to their nature. With this in mind we are always attentive in our breeding so that we can provide wonderful family pets.

I am very happy for you to come and meet Rufus to make sure he is the right match for your bitch.

He has been British Veterinary Association (BVA) scored for his Hips(5:6) and Elbows (0:1) and is CLEAR for: CHV-1, DM, GR PRA1, GR PRA2, Ich, NEwS, PRA-prcd, vWD1 and is BVA Eye tested.

Rufus has a 100% sucess rate so far. He throws Red/cream and black pups.  To date, five matings with Apricot/cream bitches have produced 23 red pups and 7 cream pups. A mating with a blue standard poodle produced 3 red and 3 black pups. His mating with a chocolate standard poodle resulted in 4 red and 4 black pups. His matings with two red girls, one a standard double doodle, one a miniature goldendoodle resulted in 22 apricot to red pups (all born on the same day).  His mating with a golden miniature goldendoodle produced 5 red/golden pups. On average he has equal boys and girls per litter.

Rufus accommodates girls in a range of sizes, from standard 23-24 inches to around 16-17 inches to the withers.  I do ask that a vet is consulted with the smaller girls to make sure they can carry his pups.

As responsible homebreeders we put the health and happiness of our dogs first and foremost and that goes for any dogs Rufus breeds with.
