If you are looking for a QUALITY, HEALTHY, VERSATILE Chessie pup, to WORK, SHOW or HAVE FUN with, then look no further!

Our pups are from FULLY health tested (Hips, Elbows, annual Eye test & Chesapeake DNA panel), DUAL PURPOSE parents & grandparents.

We welcome enquiries and meet ups prior to booking your puppy, so please contact us.

We currently have at home and available to meet, Libby - Oakmarsh Freedom, born August 2018, her dam Fennel - Oakmarsh Chestnut, born February 2016, her dam Tia - Oakmarsh Acorn, born September 2010 and up until her recent sad loss, we also had her dam, and our foundation bitch, Marli - Devonshot Jamaica Beach of Oakmarsh, born October 2006.

We aim to breed active pups with quality coats, good temperament, show quality conformation and working ability. We try to keep in touch with our pups and photos / videos of pups from our previous litters can be seen. We also have a Facebook page, Oakmarsh Chesapeakes, where we put photos / updates.

Oakmarsh Chestnut (Fennel) 7/2/2016
CH Penrose Jack Tar (Jack) x Oakmarsh Acorn (Tia)

Fennel is my third generation. She has been a dream to train, she is a working gundog who also does obedience, agility and TriDog (swim, bike, run).
She is a cracking show dog with natural presence, a multiple Best Puppy in Breed / BOB winner at Open Shows, she was Reserve Best Puppy in Show at URC Open Show 2017 and had two puppy Group 4 placings. She was 1st in Junior Bitch at Crufts 2017. She got her first CC, BOB and UK Stud Book Number (Qualifying her for Crufts for life) at 17mths of age at East of England Champ Show 2017 and then, after 8 months off (due to my injury), the RCC at Bath 2018 and then her second CC at Blackpool 2018, just before taking time off for her first litter. She was 1st in Open Bitch at Crufts 2019. Five of her puppies from her 2018 litter have qualified for Crufts 2020.

Oakmarsh Freedom (Liberty) 1/8/2018

Cheselbay Amsbry x Oakmarsh Chestnut

Libby has the sweetest nature and as an Assistance Dog in training, she goes everywhere with me, she is confident, outgoing, happy to meet anyone, any dog or other animal and be put in any situation, having accompanied me to shows & events, restaurants, shopping centres & lectures. She also sleeps on my bed ;-) She qualifed for Crufts 2020 at her first show, Leeds Champ Show July 2019, winning Best Puppy in Breed. She is training well in obedience, she competed in the Aquathon (Swim and 5k Run) at TriDog September 2019, with 4 of her litter mates also competing in the running / swimming events, all being too young to compete in the Bikejor leg. She is training well to the gun and cold game and will be accompanying me out shooting in 2020.

Allo our pups are KC Registered, well socialised and habituated, they are vet checked, micro-chipped, wormed and have their 1st Vaccination.
They go home with a comprehensive puppy pack to get he new owner started on the right lines in caring for a chessie puppy.

I am a KC Assured Breeder, Chesapeake Club member and BASC member. I train my chessies in multiple disciplines and they are my companions at home / on the farm / out shooting and on holiday! As well as showing, I judge chessies at Championship show level and maintain pedigree / health and show results databases on the breed.

I care about all the pups I breed and offer a lifetime of support.
