Tenfield commander in chief jw

Breed: Golden Retriever

Chieftan is a proven stud dog, his second litter consisted of 13 puppies. A happy go lucky young man, a retrieve-a-holic who is happiest carrying a toy around whilst enthusiastically wagging his tail. He was from a special litter, being the first full Champion to full Champion mating for almost ten years - a combination which would hopefully produce brains as well as beauty, with both parents not only having their show ring titles, but also being working gundogs. Mum Pepper was the UKs top winning Golden Retriever bitch in 2009 and Best Bitch at Crufts 2010 from an entry of 225 bitches. Chieftan has won several Best Puppy awards at Open Shows, as well as Gundog Puppy Groups and Best Puppy in Show. He has been Reserve Best Puppy in Show and Best Puppy Dog at more than one Championship Show and gained his Junior Warrant with points to spare. He has taken a few months off to mature and grow a new coat, which is now a lustrous pale golden. He is loved by those that know him, he is turning into a very handsome and self assured young man. With his kindly temperament and love for life, he is a joy to own. Only two Open Shows attended during 2012, he won his class with Reserve Best of Breed at both. He has qualified for the 2012 Kennel Club Junior Warrant Winner of the Year Semi-Finals and is concentrating on the shooting season. Chieftan is eye tested clear for all conditions, hip scored 3-6 and elbow scored 0-1 and also DNA tested clear for GRPRA1 and GRPRA2.
